Türkiye eliminate 10 PKK terrorists in northern Iraq
Turkish security forces eliminated 10 PKK terrorists in northern Iraq, the National Defense Ministry said Monday.
The terrorists were targeted in the Gara, Hakurk, and Metina regions, the ministry said on X, formerly known as Twitter.
Reaffirming Türkiye’s commitment to fighting terrorism, the ministry added, “There is no escape from the end that awaits terrorists!”
PKK’s presence in northern Iraq
PKK terrorists frequently take shelter in northern Iraq to launch cross-border attacks on Türkiye. The PKK, listed as a terrorist organization by Türkiye, the U.S., and the EU, has waged a 40-year terror campaign against Türkiye, resulting in the deaths of more than 40,000 people, including women and children.
