Türkiye’s Cabinet, chaired by President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, convenes Monday at the Presidential Complex to address pressing domestic and international issues.

The primary focus of the meeting will be 2025 adjustments to the minimum wage, as well as pension and civil servant salaries. Minister of Labor and Social Security Vedat Isikhan will present updates on preliminary studies for the wage adjustments.

President Erdogan previously commented on the issue, stating, “Last year, we increased the minimum wage by 107.5% to protect workers against inflation. This year, we gave a 49% increase, matching inflation rates. Our goal remains ensuring that no segment of society is impacted negatively by inflation.”

Inflation, price controls, and economic stability

The Cabinet also expected to address Türkiye’s strategies for combating inflation and managing price surges. Plans to stabilize the economy through regulatory measures and enhanced trade strategies will be discussed.
