Operation Euphrates Shield (2016): Aimed at preventing the formation of a terror corridor.
Operation Olive Branch (2018): Focused on removing terrorist elements.

The PKK, which is classified as a terrorist organization by Türkiye, the US, and the EU, has been active in its campaign against Türkiye for over four decades.
This campaign has resulted in the deaths of more than 40,000 individuals, including women and children.
The YPG, regarded as the Syrian offshoot of the PKK, has been a focal point of Türkiye’s security operations in the region.
