UNICEF teams up with volleyball star Zehra Gunes for children’s rights advocacy

U.N. children’s agency partnered with Zehra Gunes, a national athlete and member of the VakifBank Women’s Volleyball Team, to advocate for children’s rights and welfare.

The collaboration was formalized at a ceremony held at Feriye, attended by Zehra Gunes, UNICEF Türkiye Representative Paolo Marchi and VakifBank Sports Club Vice President Ferkan Merdan.

Zehra Gunes: Champion with heart for children

Gunes expressed her excitement about the collaboration, highlighting her awareness of its significance. She stated that this partnership with UNICEF, an organization dedicated to protecting children and their rights, was a major step in her career.
