Turkish security sources talking to Türkiye Today have denied recent reports suggesting that Hamas may move its political headquarters to Türkiye.

These claims, fueled by unconfirmed media speculation, have sparked discussions about Türkiye potentially becoming the new political headquarters for Hamas, following increasing international pressure on Qatar to expel the group.

However, Turkish officials have firmly rejected these rumors, stating that there are no plans for Hamas to establish a permanent office in the country.

A source with knowledge of Hamas’ operations in Qatar told Türkiye Today that Qatar has not requested Hamas to close its offices in Doha.

While Türkiye has supported Hamas diplomatically in the past, particularly in opposing Israeli policies, these reports about a potential headquarters move are unfounded.

Experts also point to other countries, such as Iran, Algeria, and Iraq, as possible alternative locations for Hamas.

Mehmet Fatih Ceylan, former NATO Permanent Representative, stated that Hamas may adopt a multi-leadership model following recent assassinations.

He mentioned that Hamas could open offices in different Arab countries rather than operating from a single central location.
