Stellantis Türkiye has launched a recall campaign for Citroen C3 and DS3 model vehicles because of manufacturing defects in Takata-branded airbags, urging owners to visit service centers

The company issued a statement urging vehicle owners to stop using these airbags immediately and to contact authorized service centers by calling 0850 399 2256 to schedule an appointment for replacement.

Reports indicated that the chemical components of Takata airbags in these models may deteriorate over time, especially under hot and humid conditions.

In the event of an accident that deploys the airbag, the inflator could explode because of excessive pressure, potentially causing serious injuries or, in the worst-case scenario, fatalities.

Stellantis Türkiye emphasized that operations to replace Takata airbags are ongoing, with priority given to customer safety and comfort.
