Türkiye participates in Minsk International Book Fair in Belarus

Türkiye participated in the 31st Minsk International Book Fair in Minsk, the capital of Belarus

The Embassy of Türkiye in Minsk set up a stand at the 31st Minsk International Book Fair, which opened at the BelExpo Exhibition Center in Minsk, Belarus’s capital.

Thousands of Belarusian book fair visitors flocked to the Turkish stand on the first day, showcasing the country’s rich history, archaeology, cultural heritage, natural wonders, and literary works.

Belarusian university students who are learning Turkish showed particular interest in Türkiye’s stand.

Belarus’ Information Minister Vladimir Pertsov and First Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration Maksim Ryzhenkov visited the Turkish stand. The Turkish Ambassador to Minsk Cem Isik briefed them on the showcased products.

Turkish Foreign Ministry, the Culture and Tourism Ministry, the National Education Ministry, and the Presidency of Religious Affairs also contributed to the Turkish stand at the fair.

Türkiye started participating in the fair in Belarus in 2019 with a booth area spanning 4 square meters, the first of which was held in 1994. In the following years, the size of the area was increased to 12 square meters.

The Minsk Book Fair can be visited at the BelExpo Exhibition Center until March 17.
