Nvidia surpasses Apple to become world’s most valuable company
Nvidia, the California-based chip manufacturer, has overtaken Apple in market value, reclaiming the title of the world’s most valuable company for the second time.
On Tuesday, Nvidia’s stock rose 2.84%, reaching $139.91 per share, pushing its total market value to $3.43 trillion.
This marks a shift from Apple’s market value of $3.38 trillion.
The surge in Nvidia’s stock is driven by soaring demand for its AI chips, with shares climbing 182.5% since the start of the year. Nvidia’s market value first surpassed $3 trillion in early June, cementing its dominance in the tech sector.
