The United States announced it will provide Ukraine with a new defense aid package worth $425 million, consisting of urgently needed weapons and equipment amid the ongoing war with Russia.

In a statement from the State Department, it was reported that the Biden administration continues to provide additional defense assistance to Kyiv.

The new defense package, valued at $425 million, includes not only urgently needed weapons for defense but also numerous armored vehicles, ammunition, and medical equipment. The package is said to contain air defense missiles and systems, air-to-ground munitions, additional artillery systems, grenades, and Stinger missiles.

The statement emphasized that this package is a sign of the determination to increase aid sent to Ukraine “to defend itself against Russian aggression,” facilitated through the “Ukraine Defense Contact Group (UDCG)” coalition, which includes approximately 50 countries.
