Following the terrorist attack on Turkish Aerospace Industries (TAI), security measures at defense industry facilities across Türkiye are under review. Efforts are underway to establish common security standards for all strategic institutions nationwide.

According to security sources, a multi-layered protection system will be implemented during this process. Threats will be analyzed in real time, and domestic and national sensor systems will be utilized.

The production capacity of integrated systems such as electro-optical, radar, seismic, and laser sensors will be enhanced, and the security of facilities will be strengthened through these systems. Additionally, high-resolution image processing systems will allow for the rapid analysis and prevention of potential threats.

Training, selection process

It has been indicated that security personnel will be selected with great care and will undergo special training. A three-tiered security plan is anticipated, focusing on internal, checkpoint, and external security, in collaboration with the gendarmerie.

Gendarmerie protection under evaluation

The role of the gendarmerie in ensuring the security of the facilities is being considered, along with the evaluation of criteria for the security of defense establishments.

These measures will significantly strengthen the security of Türkiye’s strategic defense industry facilities.
