Istanbul’s reputation as a luxury wedding destination was highlighted this weekend with an extravagant event hosted by two prominent Indonesian families.
The lavish wedding on Bosphorus, united Adelle Odelia Tanuri, daughter of Bali United Football Club owner Pieter Tanuri, and Phillip Tjipto, son of Haryanto Tjiptodihardjo, a business mogul with a fortune of approximately $1.2 billion, according to Forbes.
Turkish event company’s meticulous preparation for lavish wedding on Bosphorus
Planning began a year in advance, with no expense spared. Organized by Turkish event companies, the wedding reportedly cost nearly $3 million. The lavish celebration took place at one of Istanbul’s top hotels overlooking the Bosphorus.
Nearly 500 guests from around the world attended, flying in from regions as far as East Asia, Europe and North America. Special touches included floral arrangements featuring burgundy and purple hydrangeas, pink roses and a special wedding area decorated with white roses along the Bosphorus.
International performers brought to Türkiye for fancy Istanbul wedding
The wedding featured entertainment and services from various countries, adding to its grandeur:

Guests were also treated to covered accommodations and experienced Istanbul’s unique atmosphere, with the wedding ceremony area beautifully adorned and illuminated with “Just Married” displays.
