Turkish tech company CTech breaks NATO’s long-term supplier preference

Turkish technology company CTech has won NATO’s military satellite communication infrastructure bid, surpassing a longstanding supplier that had been the sole provider for years.
CTech’s major win in military communications
CTech, which specializes in secure communication solutions for defense, aerospace, and telecommunications, has secured NATO’s Electronic Protected Modulation System (EPMS) bid.
This contract, initiated by the NATO Communication and Information Agency (NCIA), marks a significant shift, as CTech’s SecureARX system will replace previous solutions.
Years of preparation lead to success
According to CTech CEO Cuneyd Firat, the company has been working on secure satellite communication modems for the Turkish Armed Forces since 2006, with the first delivery in 2011.
Firat emphasized that winning this NATO bid was the result of years of effort, as the competition included a major European firm that had long been NATO’s sole supplier in this area.
CTech to deliver hundreds of units over three years
Firat revealed that the contract involves the delivery of hundreds of units over three years. These units will be installed at NATO’s various stations, offering enhanced protection against electronic jamming.
The SecureARX product, developed with support from Türkiye’s defense industry, is tailored to meet NATO’s specific needs and is set to boost CTech’s international presence.
NATO partnership signals future growth
CTech’s success in this bid has opened the door to future opportunities with NATO, which Firat believes will act as a powerful reference point for other international customers.
This marks a pivotal moment for CTech, which has already secured contracts with Leonardo and other global players in satellite systems.
