Iranian President Pezeshkian responds to Israeli attack, promises strategic response
Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian announced that Iran will respond to Israel’s attack with “strategy and intelligence.” His comments came following Israel’s military strikes on Iranian targets, which Israel claimed were a response to earlier missile attacks by Iran.
Israeli strikes result in casualties
In a message shared on social media platform X, Pezeshkian offered condolences to the families of Iranian soldiers killed in the attack, reaffirming that Iran’s enemies would face a strategic response to such actions.
“The children of Iran sacrificed their lives in defense of the homeland. I offer my condolences to the brave soldiers of the army, the lives of Barkfan Faraja, the noble families and the heroic people,” Pezeshkian said.
“Enemies of Iran should know that these brave people are standing fearlessly in defense of their land and will respond to any stupidity with tact and intelligence,” he added.
Israel’s attack targeted military sites in Tehran and the western regions of Huzistan and Ilam, according to Iranian reports. In a written statement made by the Iranian army, it was reported that four soldiers died in the Israeli attacks.
U.S. allegedly involved in Israeli attack
Iran’s Foreign Minister, Abbas Araghchi, claimed that the United States was also involved in Israel’s operation. In a televised address, Araghchi accused the U.S. of aiding Israel by providing airspace and defense equipment.
“The participation of the Americans in this attack is completely clear from our side, at least they have opened an air corridor for the Zionist air force,” Araghchi said, adding: “In addition, the participation of the defense equipment they sent earlier in this operation is also being considered, and we think that the US contribution to the crimes of the Zionist regime and creating tension in the region is quite clear.”
He emphasized the U.S.’s role in supporting Israeli actions not only against Iran but also in other regions like Gaza and Lebanon.
