Iran resumes flights after temporary suspension due to Israeli attacks
Iran announced that domestic flights have resumed nationwide as of 9:00 a.m. local time after being temporarily suspended following Israeli attacks.
Ja’far Yazerlou, spokesperson for Iran’s Civil Aviation Organization, stated that flights were put on hold until further notice because of the Israeli assaults but are now back in operation.
Israeli attacks on Iran
On Oct. 1, Iran launched missile strikes against Israel, prompting the Tel Aviv government to announce it would respond to the attacks.
Iranian media reported Israel targeted several military bases in the west and southwest of Tehran. The Israeli military confirmed it carried out strikes on military targets in Iran.
Hours after the attacks, loud explosions were again heard in Tehran.
Iranian state television reported that the sounds originated from the east of Tehran, attributing them to missiles fired from air defense systems in response to the Israeli assault while stating that military facilities were “not hit.”
