Onana’s impressive saves secure Fenerbahce vs Man Utd draw

United’s keeper, Andre Onana, proved crucial in maintaining the draw. He delivered two near-miraculous saves in quick succession, denying En Nesyri twice in moments that left Mourinho astonished.

After the game, Fenerbahce’s head coach Mourinho shared his respect for Onana’s performance, saying, “Onana made two incredible saves … he was the decisive player in the result”. Onana’s resilience highlighted the ongoing defensive challenges faced by United under coach Erik ten Hag, who has struggled to solidify his team’s form in Europe.

Mourinho, who had praised Onana before and after the match, remarked on how those saves shifted the game’s outcome. Fenerbahce’s efforts to retake the lead were stymied by Onana’s skill, adding to United’s reputation for resilience, even amid struggles to secure wins.
