4 dead, 14 injured in terrorist attack in Türkiye’s capital Ankara
Türkiye’s Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya on Wednesday confirmed there were 4 casualties with 14 others injured, following a terrorist attack on a defense compound in the capital Ankara.
The attack started with a bomb targeting the entrance gate of the Turkish Aerospace Industries (TAI) complex in Kahramankazan, Ankara. Gunshots and clashes were heard following the explosion with three terrorists storming the facilities.
Numerous police officers, paramedics and special forces have been dispatched to the scene.
President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said during his meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin: “We have 4 dead and 14 wounded. I condemn this heinous terrorist attack and wish Allah’s mercy to our martyrs.”
