Israel’s Defense Minister Yoav Gallant made a statement hinting at a potential future strike on Iran, saying that after the attack, the world will understand the thorough preparation and training of Israeli forces.

Gallant spoke during a visit to the Hatzerim Airbase in southern Israel, addressing pilots and air crews about the country’s readiness.

Gallant praises military readiness for possible Iran strike

During his speech to the aircrews, Gallant emphasized the level of preparation the military has undertaken. “After we strike in Iran, everyone will understand what you did in the preparation and training process,” Gallant stated, underscoring the significance of their efforts.

His remarks followed Iran’s missile attack on Israel on Oct.1, which prompted Tel Aviv to vow retaliation.

US reportedly urges Israel to de-escalate

In light of the escalating tensions, Israeli Channel 13 reported that the U.S. has asked Israel to soften its response to Iran. The report has not been officially confirmed by Israeli authorities.

However, U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken, speaking in Tel Aviv today, urged Israel to ensure its response does not further escalate tensions.

Gallant’s visit amid heightened tensions

Gallant’s visit to the Hatzerim Airbase and his comments come as Israel prepares its response to Iran’s recent actions.

While no official statement has been released regarding the specifics of a potential strike, the defense minister’s words suggest that Israel is ready to take decisive action in the upcoming days.
