Turkish para athletes made a significant impact at the World Para Athletics Championships held in Kobe, Japan.

Hamide Dogangun and Serkan Yildirim both brought home medals, demonstrating their exceptional talents on the international stage.

Hamide Dogangun won her third bronze medal in the women’s 400-meter T53 category. She finished the race in 58 seconds, securing the third-place spot.

This achievement adds to her previous successes in the 800-meter and 100-meter events, proving her consistent performance in para-athletics.

Serkan Yildirim delivered an outstanding performance by winning the gold medal in the men’s 400-meter T12 category. He completed the race in an impressive 47.47 seconds, setting a new world record.

This victory follows his earlier triumph in the 100 meters, making him a double world champion at this year’s championships.

The Turkish Athletics Federation praised Hamide’s consistent performances, while the Turkish National Paralympic Committee celebrated Serkan’s record-breaking run.

Both organizations applauded their athletes’ achievements.
