Türkiye and Qatar collaborate to reunite wounded Palestinian with their families in Doha, marking a significant step in support of the Palestinian people

Qatar, in collaboration with Türkiye, launched an initiative to reunite wounded Palestinians in Gaza with their relatives in Doha, the Qatari Foreign Affairs Ministry said in a statement. 

Some of the wounded evacuated from Gaza were receiving treatment in Türkiye, while others were undergoing treatment in Doha, the capital of Qatar. It was further stated that the wounded, who had completed their treatment in Türkiye, were brought to Doha and reunited with their families.

Ambassador Goksu welcomes Palestinians

Arriving in Doha to reunite with their relatives in Qatar, Palestinians who were wounded and received treatment in Türkiye were reunited with their families. They were welcomed at the airport by Türkiye’s Ambassador to Doha M. Mustafa Goksu and Qatari Foreign Affairs Ministry official Hamed Yusuf Ahmed Rasid el-Maliki.

Goksu expressed his happiness to be part of this meaningful reunion, stating: “We are pleased to reunite Gazan families in Doha as part of the deepening cooperation between Türkiye and Qatar. On this occasion, I express my thanks to Qatar, which has not remained indifferent to the genocide in Gaza, and has provided all kinds of support and cooperated with Türkiye on the Gaza issue.”

Qatari State Minister for International Cooperation Lulva el-Hatir expressed her appreciation to Türkiye for their cooperation in facilitating the reunion of Palestinians with their relatives in Doha in a statement to QNA, the official Qatari news agency.
