The captivating phenomenon of the Northern Lights, or Aurora Borealis, was witnessed on Friday in shades of red across Türkiye as charged particles from the Sun interacted with the Earth’s magnetic field.

Stunning shades of red visuals captured the enchanting display of lights, which were also observed in various locations across the country, including Istanbul.

The recent surge of solar flares has brought the Northern Lights closer to many regions in Türkiye, creating a visual spectacle that rarely occurs so far south.

Traditionally, the Northern Lights have drawn many travelers to countries near the Arctic Circle, where the natural light display is more commonly seen. However, this event provided a rare opportunity for residents and visitors alike to experience the phenomenon from their own backyards.

As the lights danced across the sky, displaying a range of vibrant red colors, onlookers in Sakarya and Kastamonu were left mesmerized.
