TIKA extends Ramadan aid to Croatia, Congo, Peru, Yemen and Somalia

The Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA) arranged Ramadan iftars, along with food aid packages, for families in Croatia, the Republic of Congo, Peru, Yemen, and Somalia, underscoring its commitment to global humanitarian efforts.
TIKA commenced the distribution of food packages to 1,000 needy families in Croatia, coinciding with Ramadan, a sacred month for Muslims marked by fasting from dawn to dusk and devout reflection, as per an official statement from the agency.
Moreover, a gathering of 150 individuals convened for an iftar dinner at the Congolese Islamic Supreme Council Center in Brazzaville, the capital of the Republic of Congo, showcasing solidarity and support within the community.
In Lima, the capital of Peru, TIKA set up iftar tables for five consecutive days at the mosque affiliated with the Peruvian Islamic Association in the Magdalena Del Mar region, drawing participation from approximately 800 individuals who shared in the spirit of the iftar program.
Across Yemen’s troubled landscapes, TIKA orchestrated an iftar dinner for 300 refugees and orphans aged 7-14, extending compassionate aid to those facing adversity in the region.
Additionally, the aid agency orchestrated iftar programs across orphanages situated in various regions of Somalia, a nation located in the Horn of Africa, while also distributing clothing to vulnerable orphans, exemplifying a multifaceted approach towards addressing pressing social needs.
