Iran warns Israel against potential attacks again, vows stronger retaliation
Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has issued a stark warning to Israel, stating that any attack on Iranian infrastructure would be met with a more powerful response.
In a televised address on Tuesday, Araghchi emphasized Iran’s readiness to retaliate decisively if Israel proceeds with a military strike.
“If any attack against our country takes place, our response will be more powerful,” Araghchi declared, signaling Iran’s firm stance against potential aggression from Israel.
He added that Israel is well aware of “what kind of targets” Iran could strike in response, underlining the reach of Iran’s missile capabilities.
Previous Iranian missile strikes
Tensions between Iran and Israel have escalated since Iran launched missile strikes against Israel last week. These strikes, named “Operations True Promise 1 and 2,” demonstrated Iran’s missile strength. According to Araghchi, “everyone knows that any strategic mistake by the enemy Israel will receive a harsher response.”
Israel has vowed to retaliate, raising concerns that it may target Iran’s energy infrastructure. However, U.S. President Joe Biden indicated on Friday that Israel has not yet decided on how to respond.
Iran’s support for the resistance
During a visit to Beirut and Damascus, Araghchi reaffirmed Iran’s continued support for regional resistance movements, emphasizing that Tehran’s backing for these groups would persist despite any setbacks.
“We have been, are, and will continue to support the resistance and the temporary blows dealt to the resistance will not affect the determination and strength of the resistance fighters,” he added.
