Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan addressed a crowd of 50,000 supporters at an election rally in Yozgat province. He emphasized the strength of unity among local government officials and their dedication to serving the community.
Speaking alongside Celal Kose, Yozgat mayoral candidate, Erdogan highlighted the collective efforts of officials across various districts, emphasizing that their combined service will greatly benefit Yozgat.
“We have no doubt that with my brothers and sisters who will be elected as mayors in various districts, including Celal Kose, our service to Yozgat will undoubtedly be much stronger,” Erdogan stated.
The president highlighted developments in the region, particularly with the opening of Akdagmadeni train stations, which will enable faster access to high-speed train services for the people of Yozgat.
Unwavering stance against terrorism
Acknowledging the challenges faced in the past, Erdogan emphasized the government’s unwavering stance against terrorism and any threats to the nation’s unity. “We have cleared our land of all enemies of the country and the nation,” he asserted.
Touching on Türkiye’s role in regional stability, Erdogan highlighted the country’s efforts in various international conflicts, from Syria to Karabakh, emphasizing the country’s commitment to justice and intervention against occupation and injustice.
An exporter of defense
Turning to economic achievements, President Erdogan noted Türkiye’s progress in defense exports, which reached $5.5 billion and exceeded imports, even for small items like needles. “Türkiye is now an exporter in defense, and we will continue to strive until we become one of the world’s largest economies,” he declared.
President Erdogan also highlighted Türkiye’s first indigenous car brand, TOGG, and the successful launch of the national aircraft KAAN, showcasing Türkiye’s strides in technological advancements.
“We have cut our own umbilical cord in defense and every other field,” President Erdogan remarked, underscoring Türkiye’s efforts for self-sufficiency.
Addressing recent economic challenges, Erdogan assured the public that positive developments in inflation are expected in the second half of the year. He also mentioned various initiatives, including a one-time payment of TL 5,000 and increases in pensions and bonuses for retirees.
Erdogan called for unity and support, urging Yozgat’s residents to continue their unwavering support for the government’s development projects. He emphasized the importance of the upcoming elections, stating, “We are very ready for the results that will come out of the ballot box.”
