Besiktas faced a defeat at home against Germany’s Eintracht Frankfurt in the second week of the UEFA Europa League at Tupras Stadium.

The match ended with a score of 3-1 in favor of the visiting team, leaving the team still in search of its first points in the group stage.

The scoring began in the 19th minute when Marmoush converted a penalty for Eintracht Frankfurt. Just three minutes later, Ebimbe extended the lead to 2-0.

Besiktas had a chance to reduce the deficit in the 27th minute when Ciro Immobile was awarded a penalty, but he failed to convert, allowing Frankfurt to maintain their two-goal advantage at halftime.

In the second half, Black Eagles showed more determination and applied pressure on Frankfurt. However, it was Frankfurt that found the net again, with Knauff scoring the third goal in the 82nd minute.

Despite a late consolation goal from Masuaku in stoppage time (90+3′), Black Eagles could not change the outcome, and the match finished 3-1 in favor of Frankfurt.

As a result of this match, Eintracht Frankfurt now has 4 points in the group, while Besiktas remains without any points.
