The U.S. Embassy in Israel has issued a security alert for its employees and their families following reports that Iran is preparing to launch an attack on Israel.

In a written statement, the embassy advised employees and their families to stay at home or in a nearby safe location until further notice due to the current security situation.

The timing of this alert is significant, coming on the heels of claims regarding Iran’s preparations for an attack on Israel.

Previously, the U.S. Embassy had issued a similar warning ahead of Iran’s April attacks on Israel, which involved numerous drones and missiles.

A senior U.S. official commented on the escalating tensions in the Middle East, particularly Israel’s actions against Lebanon, stating, “The U.S. has indications that Iran is preparing to conduct a ballistic missile attack against Israel in the near future.”
