Directorate of Communication establishes press monitoring center for local election coverage
Directorate of Communications inaugurates Press Monitoring Center in Istanbul for local and foreign journalists to track election updates
The Presidential Communications Directorate has opened a Press Monitoring Center for local and foreign press members covering the March 31 Local Administration General Elections.
The center, situated in a hotel in Istanbul, started operations at 2:00 p.m.
The center, designed for local and foreign press members to follow developments throughout the day and the vote-counting process after the polls close, displays news channels’ broadcasts on digital screens.
Platforms have been established for press members to broadcast, and workstations are provided for journalists interested in writing articles.
Press members utilizing the center transmit election-related information to their respective organizations.
Visited by academics, opinion leaders, and representatives of public institutions, the center hosts national and international press members, keeping a pulse on the election.
The center will remain open to press members throughout the day.
A Press Monitoring Center has also begun operations in Ankara for press members.
