The Turkish National Intelligence Organization (MIT) continues its targeted cross-border operations, successfully eliminating Lokman Ismail, the so-called leader of the terrorist organization PKK/KCK’s self-defense units, in northern Iraq.

According to security sources, MIT’s meticulous intelligence work identified Ismail as a primary figure within the terror group’s self-defense unit structure.

Following this crucial intelligence, a decision was made to launch an operation.

MIT’s field agents provided the intelligence that confirmed Ismail’s location in northern Iraq.

A precise strike eliminated the terrorists.

Ismail was responsible for orchestrating attacks against Turkish security forces during the trench-and-barricade incidents in Sirnak between 2015 and 2016.

Additionally, he ordered a bomb attack in Adana’s Seyhan district in 2019, carried out by Syrian nationals, targeting two vehicles.

This operation marks another successful step in Türkiye’s ongoing efforts to combat terrorism and neutralize key figures in the PKK/KCK terrorist organization.
