Yemen’s Houthi-controlled Al-Masirah television reported on Sunday that Israeli airstrikes targeted the western port city of Al Hudaydah.

The report did not provide details regarding casualties or damage, but footage shared on social media depicted smoke rising from the area.

Airstrikes carried out with U.S.

The Israeli army has yet to comment on the airstrikes. However, according to two senior Israeli officials, the strike was carried out in coordination with the United States Central Command (CENTCOM).

Israeli Channel 12 said the strike destroyed oil tanks at Al Hudaydah Port. The Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper said the attack was “broader” than the strikes that targeted the coastal province last July.

Israel’s military actions have intensified following the Hamas attack on October 7, 2023. Nearly 41,600 people, primarily women and children, have been killed in Gaza as the conflict rages on.

Beyond Gaza, the violence has spread to Lebanon, where Israeli airstrikes have killed over 800 people and injured more than 2,500 since September 23.

Several high-ranking Hezbollah commanders, including its leader Hassan Nasrallah, were also reported to have been killed in these airstrikes.
