Turkish Industry and Business Association (TUSIAD) urged swift focus on structural reforms post-local elections for a stronger economy, democracy, and legal system in Türkiye in a written statement released Monday.
“Following the local elections, we must work together to focus swiftly on structural reforms that will strengthen our economy, democracy, and legal system, aiming to achieve a more advanced, reputable, fair, and environmentally friendly Türkiye,” TUSIAD said.
Welcoming the newly elected mayors, TUSIAD said: “We congratulate the newly elected mayors and local officials on taking office. We wish them success in their efforts to improve the quality of life for all citizens in cities, focusing on good governance and effective service delivery. We hope for a period of enhanced cooperation between the central government and local administrations, particularly in areas such as disaster management.”
