Trump threatens legal action against Google for favoring Harris in search results
Former U.S. President Donald Trump has vowed to prosecute Google, accusing the tech giant of manipulating search results to boost Vice President Kamala Harris.
In a post on Truth Social, Trump called Google’s actions “illegal,” and warned that if elected in 2024, he would push the Department of Justice to investigate.
Trump’s claims appear to be based on a report by the Media Research Center, which alleges that Google’s search algorithm disproportionately favors Harris.
The study specifically highlighted a September 6, 2024, search for “Donald Trump presidential race 2024,” which reportedly prioritized left-leaning outlets in the top results.
Google has refuted the allegations, asserting that its search results reflect constantly shifting online content and are not biased toward any political figure.
