Israel targets Hezbollah leadership as Gaza attacks continue

Israel’s strikes have systematically killed Hezbollah’s leadership, leaving only the group’s leader, Hassan Nasrallah. As Israel’s attacks on the Gaza Strip extend beyond 11 months since Oct. 7, tensions between Israel and Hezbollah continue to rise.

Israel has recently entered a new phase in its conflict with Hezbollah, following cyberattacks in which the communication devices, radios, and pagers used by Hezbollah members in Lebanon were targeted and exploded.

Hezbollah has launched missile attacks on cities like Haifa and Tel Aviv, while Israel has concentrated intense strikes on Southern Lebanon, particularly in the Bekaa Valley, and has also conducted operations in Beirut, killing Hezbollah leaders.

Hezbollah faces challenges amid cyberattacks and injuries

Although Hezbollah continues to challenge Israel, it has lost 5% of its fighter capacity due to the explosions caused by cyberattacks. A significant number of injured fighters have lost limbs.

Israel’s targeted bombings have wiped out most of Hezbollah’s leadership, except Hassan Nasrallah.

• June 8: Radwan Unit Commander Wissam al-Tawil was eliminated.
• June 11: Aziz Unit Commander Muhammad Nasser was killed.
• July 30: Military leader Fuad Shukr was killed.
• Sept. 21: Head of the operation division Ibrahim Aqeel was killed.
• Sept. 24: Ali Karaki eliminated.

Hezbollah’s ability to replenish its ranks and increase its fighter capacity will play a decisive role in the future of its conflict with Israel.
