Replicas of pharaoh’s treasures welcome visitors at Ankara exhibition

The exhibition, created from replicas of more than 409 artifacts from the burial chamber of Pharaoh Tutankhamun, was presented to enthusiasts in Ankara after Istanbul

Nearly 409 replicas of treasures of Egyptian Pharaoh Tutankhamun, estimated to have lived between 1323 B.C. and 1341 B.C. were presented at an exhibition titled “Tutankhamun, Treasures of the Child Pharaoh” in Ankara.

The exhibition, which opened in a shopping center in Ankara, includes chariots, divan, golden throne, divan with a cow’s head, ointment vase, golden fingers and sandals belonging to Tutankhamun, as well as images of Tutankhamun.

Tufan Zaman, the organizer of the exhibition in Türkiye, told IHA reporter, “We tried to combine and recreate the story of a child pharaoh from 3,300 years ago in a virtual environment. There are about 409 artifacts here. All of these artifacts are exact replicas of the artifacts discovered in King Tutankhamun’s tomb in 1922.”

The exhibition will be open to citizens until June 1.
