Istanbul Fintech Week 2024: Istanbul to host pioneering international event in digital finance
Istanbul Fintech Week 2024, hosted in Türkiye’s financial hub, is set to bring together over 80 global experts to discuss the future intersection of Web2 and Web3 in the digital finance realm
The financial capital of Türkiye, Istanbul, is set to host the fifth annual Istanbul Fintech Week (IFW’24), bringing together global leaders in digital finance.
Scheduled for April 16-17, 2024, the summit will explore the theme “Convergence: The Worlds of Web2 and Web3 Coming Together,” featuring discussions on financial technologies reshaping commerce and banking habits worldwide.
KOOP Ventures organized IFW’24 with support from the Istanbul Financial Innovation and Technology Association (FINTR).
The event aims to dissect numerous facets of digital finance. It promises to be a comprehensive platform with over 80 speakers and 35 sponsors, six summits, and 65 sessions.
Influential speakers will speak at the event, including professor Dr. Ilber Ortayli, professor Dr. Hatice Karahan, Vice President of the Central Bank of Türkiye and Clara Drodie, author of ‘Decoding AI in Financial Services.’
Other notable attendees include executives from Mastercard, IBM, and academia, ensuring a diverse range of perspectives on the evolution of digital finance.
IFW’24 will explore various critical topics, from the latest developments in Web3 and digital currencies to the impact of artificial intelligence in financial services.
Critical discussions will also focus on the intersection of traditional and digital banking and the innovations in payment and money transfer technologies.
In addition to expert panels, the event will feature the ‘Fintech in Women Summit’ and the ‘Business in Fintech Summit,’ emphasizing the role of women in finance and the evolution of financial technologies.
Moreover, the ‘Pioneers of Digital Finance Award Program’ will recognize significant contributors to Türkiye’s fintech ecosystem.
The summit will also include presentations from fintech ecosystems in countries such as Lithuania, Latvia, Ukraine, Azerbaijan, and Kazakhstan, highlighting the event’s global scope.
A high-level round table discussion, led by Prof. Dr. Emre Alkin, Rector of Topkapı University, will address ‘The Impact of Financial Inclusiveness on the Economy.’
