The Champions League has launched its new season with Juventus, featuring Turkish national footballer Kenan Yildiz, facing PSV in the opening week. Yildiz, making his debut in the competition, scored a historic goal as Juventus secured a 3-1 victory.
Historic debut for Kenan Yildiz
Kenan Yildiz, wearing the Juventus jersey, made his first Champions League appearance against PSV.
In the 21st minute, Yildiz delivered a stunning strike from a diagonal angle, finding the net with a shot that met the posts’ intersection. This goal marked the first of the season’s Champions League campaign.
At just 19, Yildiz has surpassed Juventus icon Alessandro Del Piero (20 years, 308 days) to become the youngest player in the club’s history to score in the Champions League.
