Museums, archaeological sites open during Eid al-Fitr

Museums and archaeological sites welcomed 4 million visitors in the first three months of this year, and Muzekart holders will be able to visit these sites during Eid al-Fitr

Minister of Culture and Tourism Mehmet Nuri Ersoy announced on his social media account that more than 300 museums and archaeological sites affiliated with the ministry, as well as museums under the Presidency of National Palaces, are eagerly awaiting visitors during Eid al-Fitr.

Ersoy also provided information about the most visited museums and archaeological sites in Türkiye during the first three months of this year, stating that they hosted nearly 4 million visitors.

The most visited museums and archaeological sites are as follows:

  1. Konya Mevlana Museum
  2. Denizli Hierapolis (Pamukkale) Ruins
  3. Ephesus Ruins in Izmir
  4. Nevsehir Goreme Ruins
  5. Nevsehir Zelve-Pasabaglari Ruins
  6. Ankara Republic Museum
  7. Istanbul Archaeology Museum
  8. Istanbul Galata Tower
  9. Sanliurfa Gobeklitepe Ruins
  10. Nevsehir Kaymakli Underground City

In his statement, Ersoy said, “We are also waiting for you on Bayram.” He added that Muzekart can be used to visit all museums and ruins.

“Muzekart, which is indispensable for those who travel to history and culture, is only ₺60 ($1.9),” he said.
