It has come to light that a cargo aircraft utilized by the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps conducted no less than five flights between Iran and Armenia from March 29 to April 4, transporting weaponry to Armenia

Azerbaijan’s APA news agency reported that an Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps cargo plane conducted five flights from March 29 to April 4, transporting weaponry to Armenia.

Analysts assert that Iran is seeking to exert pressure on Azerbaijan by arming Armenia. There has been a surge in anti-Azerbaijan rhetoric from Iranian authorities in recent times.

The Iranian Embassy in Baku opted to remain silent and refrained from addressing queries regarding the arms shipments.

During the Second Karabakh War, Iran also supplied arms to Armenia but ceased the shipments due to protests from Iranian Turks.

Despite Tehran’s claims of neutrality in the Azerbaijan-Armenia disputes, it is arming Armenia against Azerbaijan.

It was also revealed in the recent past that India had provided arms to Armenia through Iran.
