Borusan Contemporary is set to host renowned multidisciplinary artist Doug Aitken, bringing his captivating works to art enthusiasts in Türkiye.

According to Borusan’s announcement, Aitken, whose career boasts numerous awards, international exhibitions and publications, will present his first solo exhibition in Türkiye titled “The City Within.”

Curated by art director Jerome Sans, the exhibition will be open to the public at Perili Kosk from Sept. 14, 2024 to Aug. 17, 2025.

The exhibition will feature a range of Aitken’s works created between 2007 and 2024, including his latest sculpture commissioned by the Borusan Contemporary Art Collection.

In tandem with Aitken’s exhibition, Perili Kosk will also host “Eternal Prelude,” a selection of works from the Borusan Contemporary Art Collection.

Curated by Necmi Sonmez, this exhibition will showcase the museum’s latest acquisitions, presenting contemporary works from leading international artists.

Visitors to “Eternal Prelude” will embark on a journey through the space, exploring neon sculptures, video installations, altered photographs, and conceptual pieces.

Many of the artworks, produced using diverse digital techniques, will be displayed for the first time.

What is Borusan Contemporary?

Borusan Contemporary is open on weekends from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., with the last admission at 6:00 p.m.
