Israeli War Cabinet Minister Benny Gantz claims Hamas defeated militarily, vows Rafah invasion and Khan Younis return

Israel’s War Cabinet Minister, Benny Gantz, has asserted, albeit without evidence, that the Palestinian resistance group Hamas has suffered a military defeat.

According to a report by a local media outlet, Gantz stated during a gathering of his National Unity party in the southern Israeli city of Sderot that Hamas fighters have been neutralized or are in hiding, and their capabilities have been severely impaired.

“From a military point of view – Hamas is defeated. Its fighters are eliminated or in hiding, and its capabilities (are) crippled,” Benny Gantz said.

Moreover, he declared intentions to invade Rafah and reoccupy Khan Younis, asserting that the Israeli army will operate in Gaza to target terrorist entities.

“We will enter Rafah. We will return to Khan Younis. And we will operate in Gaza. Wherever there are terrorist targets,” Gantz emphasized.

Israel’s war on besieged Palestinians of Gaza – now in its 188th day – has killed at least 33,360 Palestinians and wounded 75,993 others as Israel intensifies its attack on the blockaded enclave on the first day of Eid al Fitr.
