Armenia proposes 10th peace agreement package to Azerbaijan
Armenia has submitted its 10th peace agreement proposal to Azerbaijan, expressing its readiness to establish lasting peace in the region, according to the Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Deputy Foreign Minister Vahan Kostanyan, speaking at the ‘Armenia and the EU’ conference during the GLOBSEC Bratislava Global Security Forum, emphasized Armenia’s commitment to protecting its sovereignty, international borders, and democracy through diverse foreign policy initiatives. Kostanyan reaffirmed that Yerevan is prepared to achieve peace in the South Caucasus.
Recently, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinian stated that Armenia and Azerbaijan had reached agreements on 13 out of the 17 articles in a proposed peace agreement.
Pashinian also proposed a bilateral meeting with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev at the border to further negotiations. While not ruling out trilateral talks, he indicated a preference for progressing in a bilateral format for now.
