FlightGlobal, one of the leading publications in the defense and aerospace industry, has announced the world’s 100 largest aerospace companies for 2024.

Two Turkish companies stood out in this prestigious list: Turkish Aerospace Industries (TAI) and Baykar.

TAI drew attention by ranking 38th on the list. While the company’s sales in 2023 reached $2,674 million, this figure showed a significant increase compared to the $1,839 million in 2022.

With this performance, TAI managed to climb seven places in the ranking compared to last year.

Baykar, which entered the list for the first time this year, ranked 49th. In less than 20 years, Baykar has gained attention by becoming one of the largest UAV manufacturers outside the United States.

Baykar exports its products to Türkiye’s NATO allies Albania, Poland and Romania, as well as Azerbaijan, Ethiopia, Kuwait, and the Maldives.

According to FlightGlobal’s assessment, TAI and Baykar’s inclusion in this prestigious list demonstrated the growing influence and competitiveness of the Turkish defense industry in the global arena.

Both companies are expected to further increase their ranking in the coming years.
