Robert F. Kennedy Jr. drops out of presidential race, endorses Donald Trump

Independent candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. announced his withdrawal from the U.S. presidential race and declared his support for Republican candidate Donald Trump.

This endorsement comes as a surprise, given Kennedy’s previous harsh criticism of Trump, where he referred to him as a “terrible person” and “the worst president ever.”

Kennedy had previously sought a meeting with Democratic candidate Kamala Harris in mid-August but received no response.

In response to Kennedy’s endorsement, Trump expressed his gratitude and stated that he would be “absolutely open” to offering Kennedy a role in his administration if he were to withdraw from the race.
