The Turkish National Intelligence Organization (MIT) and Istanbul Police Department have apprehended Mehnaz Omari, an Iranian national operating under the alias “Naze Ad” who is believed to be a senior operative within the PKK/KCK’s terrorist organization’s Finland network.
KCK is the umbrella body of the PKK terrorist group and its Syrian and Iranian offshoots.
According to security sources, Omari was arrested in Istanbul during a coordinated operation between MIT and local law enforcement.
Key role in PKK/YPG
Omari is alleged to have played a critical role in maintaining communication between PKK/YPG cadres in Finland and the terrorist group’s leadership.
She was also reportedly involved in the recruitment of individuals for the organization and managing financial resources.
Besides her coordination role, Omari is believed to have organized various actions and events on behalf of the PKK/YPG terror group in Finland.
Her capture has reportedly led to the discovery of significant information regarding the organization’s structure and activities in Finland.
Security forces have indicated that the arrest of Omari has provided valuable intelligence on the PKK/YPG’s Finland network, potentially disrupting further operations and recruitment efforts within the region.
