Death toll from Israeli military operations in the Gaza Strip since Oct. 7 has surpassed 40,000, Gaza Health Ministry said Thursday. According to the ministry, a total of 40,005 Palestinians have been killed, and another 92,401 have been injured in the ongoing attacks.

Israeli forces continue their offensive in the Gaza Strip, with the army recently ordering the evacuation of several neighborhoods in the southern city of Khan Yunis.

Israeli military spokesperson Avichay Adraee urged residents of the “Karara 3” and “Satr” areas in Khan Yunis to evacuate, claiming these areas were used by Hamas and other groups to launch missiles at Israel.

The ongoing Israeli operations have forced multiple displacements of Palestinians. According to Gaza’s government Media Office, nearly 2 million of Gaza’s 2.3 million residents have been forcibly displaced since Oct. 7.
