A man in his 20s faced trial for breaching the Animal Protection Act in South Korea by brutally killing 76 street cats.
During a trial addressing one of the most distressing cases of animal maltreatment in recent years in the country, the guilty claimed that his animosity toward cats grew significantly after street cats scratched his car.
The court convicted the man for killing cats between December 2022 and September 2023, according to several media reports.
