An unidentified group demanding ransom has kidnapped Turkish citizen Muhammed Colak in Croatia.
Colak, reportedly held for two days, has allegedly been assaulted by his captors, who have contacted his family mentioning their demands.
The Turkish Foreign Ministry has confirmed it is closely monitoring the situation and taking necessary steps.
The Ministry’s Coordination and Support Center shared the following on the social media platform X:
Upon receiving information yesterday morning about our citizen Muhammed Colak being kidnapped in Croatia by an unidentified group for ransom, we immediately contacted Croatian and Bosnian authorities. The situation is being closely followed, and updates are being regularly provided to the citizen’s family.
