Largest prisoner exchange since the Second World War taking place in Türkiye
Turkish intelligence is conducting the most extensive prisoner swap operation in recent times, involving the exchange of 26 individuals from prisons in the U.S., Germany, Poland, Slovenia, Norway, Russia, and Belarus.
According to security sources, during the swap operation being held in Ankara, 26 individuals are being transferred to Türkiye via seven planes, including two from the U.S. and one each from Germany, Poland, Slovenia, Norway, and Russia.
As part of the operation, 10 hostages, including two children, were transferred to Russia, 13 hostages to Germany, and three hostages to the U.S.
