Israel’s military bombed villages and towns in Lebanon on Thursday, following accusations that Hezbollah was responsible for an attack in Majdal Shams, located in the occupied Golan Heights, according to Lebanon’s state-run National News Agency.

Warplanes launched successive strikes on the outskirts of Aabbassiyeh, Tayr Debba, and Toura in the Tyre district.

Additionally, fighter jets targeted Burj el-Shemali and Tayr Harfa, resulting in casualties and significant damage to property and infrastructure.

Israeli authorities reported that at least 12 people were killed and 35 injured in a missile attack on the Druze town of Majdal Shams in the northern part of the Golan Heights.

The Israeli army attributed the attack to Hezbollah, although the Lebanese group denied any involvement.

Since the onset of the Gaza conflict in October, Israel and Hezbollah have exchanged cross-border fire, raising fears of a broader conflict.
