The government of Pakistan has officially decided to designate Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu as a “terrorist” and has called on the international community to do the same.

According to a report by Dawn newspaper, Pakistan’s Prime Minister’s Advisor on Political Affairs Rana Sanaullah, Minister of Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar and representatives of the Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) party held a joint press conference in the country’s capital, Islamabad.

Following a week-long series of pro-Gaza demonstrations by TLP, the Pakistani government negotiated with the party, resulting in an agreement. As part of this agreement, Pakistan will officially recognize the Israeli Prime Minister as a “terrorist” and will urge the international community to follow suit.

The negotiations between the federal government and TLP representatives Allama Ghulam Abbas Faizi and Shafique Amini, which began on July 18, concluded with an announcement that Pakistan would accelerate its support for “Palestinian victims of Israeli oppression.”

Prime Minister’s Advisor on Political Affairs Sanaullah and Minister of Information Tarar signed the agreement.

Increased humanitarian aid for Palestine

Sanaullah commended TLP’s efforts for the Palestinian people and announced that the government would increase humanitarian aid shipments to Gaza.

He stated that more than 1,000 tons of food and medicine would be shipped to Palestine by July 31 and that the government agreed to provide medical assistance and send healthcare personnel to the region.

If the Palestinian government makes necessary arrangements, injured Palestinians would be brought to Pakistan for treatment, and schools and hospitals in Pakistan would be made available to provide educational and medical facilities to Palestinians, Sanaullah said.

“Netanyahu is a terrorist and a perpetrator of war crimes,” Sanaullah declared, labeling Israel as a “terrorist state” and Netanyahu as a war criminal under international law. He emphasized Pakistan would use every possible means to assist Palestinians and condemn Israel.

Committee formed to boycott companies supporting Israel

Demanding Netanyahu’s prosecution, Sanaullah stated, “Netanyahu is a terrorist and a perpetrator of war crimes. He is responsible for the atrocities committed by Israel in Palestine. We call him a terrorist and urge the international community to recognize Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu as a terrorist.”

To identify and boycott companies supporting Israel, Sanaullah announced the formation of a committee.

“We will boycott not only Israel but also all products and companies that are directly or indirectly involved in or support these atrocities,” he said.

Sanaullah also stated that the Pakistani government would avoid products or services from companies that aid Israeli forces in committing war crimes against Palestinians and called on the international community to hold Netanyahu accountable and bring him to justice.

He praised TLP’s dedication to the Palestinian cause. He mentioned that the government agreed with the party to intensify efforts for the release of Aafia Siddiqui, who is imprisoned in the United States.

Following the agreement, TLP ended its protest in Faizabad, Rawalpindi, on July 19 evening.
