Bakan Uraloglu announces high-speed train news for Erzurum
Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloglu announced the establishment of the Turkish State Railways (TCDD) Regional Directorate in Erzurum.
Speaking at the AK Party Erzurum Expanded Provincial Advisory Council Meeting, Uraloglu stated that the new directorate will soon become operational.
Minister Uraloglu stated, “In the first phase, we are rehabilitating our existing railway line from Sivas to Kars and increasing its capacity. Our work on the high-speed train is also continuing. We will soon proceed with the construction and tender processes without delay.”
Speaking about the ongoing tunnel and standard enhancement projects in Erzurum, Uraloglu emphasized that these projects are being tracked and will be implemented as soon as possible. He added, “We love Erzurum, and that’s why we will continue to serve it.”
Uraloglu addressed the Erzurum residents, stating, “Last week, we successfully launched our first domestic and national satellite, Turksat 6A, into space. We are proud and excited about this achievement. Our President set this goal for us and provided every possible material and moral support.”
Reminiscing about his tenure in Erzurum, Uraloglu said, “I served in Erzurum for approximately four and a half years. We ate the bread, drank the water of Erzurum, and tried to serve. Later, I continued to serve as a General Manager. Now, with this position, I will continue to serve Erzurum just as I serve all of Türkiye. Erzurum has always supported us with its stance and its commitment to our country’s national and spiritual values.”
‘High-speed train projects for Erzurum continue’
Emphasizing the transportation projects in Erzurum, Uraloglu said, “We have ongoing, planned, and current projects. We will implement these within a program, together with our ministers, members of Parliament, mayors and Provincial Organization.”
Uraloglu announced that the TCDD Regional Directorate in Erzurum has been officially established and will be operational with all its units shortly. He noted, “In the first phase, we are rehabilitating the existing railway line from Sivas to Kars and increasing its capacity. Our work on the high-speed train for Erzurum is also continuing. We will soon proceed with the tender and construction processes without delay.”
