Minister Uraloglu at SpaceX, eyes enhanced satellite launch after Türksat 6A success
Transportation and Infrastructure Minister Abdulkadir Uraloglu recently visited SpaceX’s production and launch facility in Brownsville, Texas, underscoring Turkiye’s strides in satellite technology.
Preparation for Türksat 6A launch
Minister Uraloglu’s visit was in anticipation of Türkiye’s landmark launch of its first domestic communication satellite, Türksat 6A.
He commended SpaceX’s integrated approach to rocket production and launches, emphasizing the facility’s pivotal role as a nexus of technology, engineering, and dedication.
Exploring SpaceX’s capabilities
During his tour, Minister Uraloglu observed SpaceX’s production processes and discussed the Starship rocket’s capability to simultaneously launch up to 60 low Earth orbit satellites.
He highlighted SpaceX’s pioneering efforts in rocket reusability, which significantly enhance mission efficiency and sustainability.
Celebrating Türksat 6A success
Reflecting on Türkiye’s achievements, Minister Uraloglu celebrated the successful launch of Türksat 6A from SpaceX’s Cape Canaveral site in Florida on July 9.
He expressed confidence in the satellite’s performance, noting its seamless deployment and operational readiness.

“We have achieved a significant milestone in Türkiye’s space endeavors with the successful manufacturing and launch of Türksat 6A,” Minister Uraloglu affirmed.
